As both a seasoned Life Care Planner and Chief Executive Officer, Anna “Katie” Heater ensures that every aspect of work at Kacy Turner Consulting is guided by professional expertise and strategic management. Her background in life care planning allows her to understand the unique needs of clients, while her history in leadership ensures efficiency, transparency, and a client-focused approach throughout the process.
Katie is a Certified Life Care Planner, Certified Case Manager, and Registered Nurse who works with both plaintiff and defense firms to develop objective, well-supported life care plans and cost estimates. Katie brings a strong clinical foundation to her forensic work, with professional experience. This hands-on healthcare and consulting background provides the ability to translate medical records, treatment histories, and physician recommendations into clear, medically grounded life care plans that are practical, defensible, and tailored to the facts of each case.
From our office in Texas, we serve attorneys throughout Texas and nationwide, offering remote services to ensure timely collaboration regardless of location. Katie collaborates with treating physicians and specialists to evaluate future medical needs, analyze anticipated care needs, and develop cost estimates for surgeries, procedures, therapies, and long-term services. She also reviews and critiques life care plans prepared by other professionals, providing independent analysis grounded in current standards of care.
In addition to her expert role, Katie has held leadership and operational positions within life care planning firms, overseeing quality control, workflow, and service delivery. This operational experience strengthens our ability to deliver consistent, timely, and well-organized work product while maintaining individualized attention for each law firm and matter. As a boutique practice, we emphasize direct communication, prompt responsiveness, and personalized service throughout every engagement.
Katie is an active member of the professional rehabilitation and life care planning community and serves on the Texas board of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. She is also committed to community service, volunteering with CASA of East Texas in support of children in need. Her combined clinical, administrative, and forensic experience allows us to provide law firms with reliable life care planning services that are objective, methodologically sound, and clearly communicated.
